1) Munnar

It is the converging point of three exotic rivers namely- Muthirappuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly. Monsoon brings joyfulness as one gets to see a lot of streams and rivulets. Eravikulam National Park
This park is located about 15 km from Munnar and is renowned for its endangered resident – the Nilgiri Tahr. It also houses several other species of rare animals, birds and butterflies. Apart from sheltering the flora and fauna this park is fantastic for trekking.

Anamudi Peak
After covering a distance of 13 Km from Munnar, you will reach Anamudi Peak (8,842 ft ) the Highest Indian Mountain that lies South of the Himalayan range. Also, it is the highest mountain of Kerala. Only after obtaining permission from Forest and Wildlife Authorities, one is allowed to trek the peak.

Located 61 km from Trivandrum, Agasthyakoodam (Agastya Malai) is a towering forested peak (1868m) in Western ghatVarkala beach in Agasthyakoodam keralas that adjoins forests in the tail end. There are several mythological stories related to this peak. It forms the most varied and unidentified ecological unit in Peninsular India.     HI!
    nice write up ..but it has landed me in confusion..i have planned a trip to north India – The Golden Triangle tour..reading about Tourist places in Agra..i ardently wish to visit Kerala. I will land in Delhi in the mid of June so should i go ahead with golden triangle tour or Kerala tourist destinations?

    hey Ketty..I am in already in Delhi and its too hot out here..since you will be arriving mid of June i am sure temperature will be really high..locals themselves rush towards hill stations this tym..i would suggest you to go ahead with kerala instead of golden triangle tour…you should come sometimes in winter to discover the goldentriangle tour perhaps! do write back if you hav suggestions fr me as well ..take care..cheers! :)
